How can I set up a report to see a rolling average of weekly active users?

Hi community

I’m trying to set up a report on our Mixpanel product usage data in Gainsight. I’d like to track weekly active users on a daily interval (defined as distinct users who visited our product’s back-office environment in the last 7 days).

^ We have that event coming into Gainsight from Mixpanel for that, along with the user ID, so the data is there in principle. However, I can’t work out how to adjust the report to count distinct users where this event was recorded in the past 7 days, as opposed to simply seeing the days on which there were active users.

I’m still a bit new to Gainsight, so I’m curious to know whether this is something I can achieve directly within reporting (e.g. maybe with a formula field?), or if we’ll need to set up something in the rules engine to track weekly active users on a company level or something along those lines.

Hi @daniel.boon

If the records are created live, you can filter and summarize on the created date field in the object. That is a system field which automatically gets created when ever the record gets created.

If you have a screenshot of the data you can validate this.

Yes @sai_ram thanks for following up - I didn’t manage to make much progress here - instead we’ve adjusted our reporting to pull Gainsight data into our own product which is then pushed to Mixpanel. For most reports we needed this works well, although we have to maintain the integration ourselves which is a downside.
