The more our CSMs use Success Plans to track customer commitments, the more we hear request about wanting to export tasks/comments/descriptions into Excel. Problem is that Success Plans consist of data from multiple objects.

Is there a good way to set up a dashboard for people to select a particular plan and to be able to export all its the data into excel? We’re looking for the ability to see the below, all in one:

  • Plan info, date created, who owns it, overall completion % etc
  • Objectives/CTAs within the plan - name of each, owners, status, comments, contacts assigned, deadlines, number of tasks assigned to each, completion % etc
  • Tasks within those objectives - names of tasks, owners, comments, descriptions, dates ets

Whilst we can have these 3 reports created, and filter the dashboard by a particular customer name, I have not found a way to link all three together i.e. show which tasks belong under which objectives for which plan

It is also very clunky to work with 3 data sets combining them all into one.

Hi @katerina_nemcova  can you share a bit more about the use cases in which the users would prefer to use Excel instead of the Success Plan interface or Gainsight Dashboards themselves (which would have real-time data, instead of out of date data)?
