Didn’t see a post for this already, and not sure if the idea will make sense but I’ll give it a shot:
User Story: As a CSM/Gainsight End User, I want the ability to keep tasks/CTAs I’m working on in front of me as I navigate Gainsight so that I don’t lose track of what I’m trying to complete, while navigating the system to find the information I need/take the steps I need to complete the task.
Context: As a simple example, if I’m a CSM I may have a CTA I’m working on with 5 tasks. Those tasks might just be jumping off points where I need to do something like update a scorecard measure with a timeline entry, schedule a meeting, review a dash and do XYZ etc. It can be easy to go down a rabbit hole and forget the overal task or tasks I’m trying to complete. At the very least, once I’ve done the thing(s), I have to remember exactly what CTA/Task I was working on and check off the task and maybe take some other action(s) on the CTA itself as well. This just adds extra work and system fatigue navigating around.
It is possible to open a second window and have them side by side, or on different screens, but that’s not always a desirable option, as I may need to use Gainsight and another system to complete my task, which just makes toggling between all the windows a chore even if I have the visual real estate.
What I would like, is some way to dock or pin either cockpit itself, or a CTA I’m working on so I always have that available when I’m navigating the system (even just going through tabs on the C360) without losing where I am, switching between the two. It would finally be a functional use for the obsession with third panes, though the sizing would need to be re-done. Doesn’t have to be a clone of the To Do/utility bar in SFDC but is a similar, practical example of something that would be useful.
