MixMax Limitation w/ Email Assist

Related products:None

James.Ofczarzak

The documentation for the Email Assist Plug-in states:

Limitation

  • When the Gainsight Assist Chrome Plug-in is used along with the Mixmax chrome extension, the email does not get logged to the Timeline when the Log to Timeline option is selected while sending emails from the compose mode. As a workaround, users must go to Sent Emails and log the email to Timeline.

Is there any development work planned around this limitation?

Thanks,
James

Moved this discussion to the JO & emails community.

@Bhawya, @PavanCh for any updates?

When I ran into this conflict, neither Gainsight nor Mixmax seemed ready to own the issue, with each pointing at the other as the party to remediate.

While it’s not a fix, we did shift to training team members on using “Email-to-Timeline” to document their outbound emails. That didn’t solve for Template use, but it got us close enough that we could live with the two apps together in our tech stack.

A sizeable limitation for our team  as well and is making it extremely difficult to drive adoption of Timeline usage. Copying in @anirbandutta’s taggs from above - @Bhawya and @PavanCh - any updates on development work or resolution?
