We have emails that are sent “from” VP level members of our team, with a “reply-to” email going to a joint box. We found out recently that auto replies (like out of offices) will ignore the reply to and go straight to the sender.

This post has more about the issue: https://community.gainsight.com/topic/show?tid=43969&fid=10

I am hoping to see a change where this goes directly to the reply to email, so as to stop our VPs from receiving a large number of out of offices

This would be pretty usefull for sure and even more if we could identify that a person was OOO in case we need to reach out to someone else. I’m thinking of automated DCS programs for non-managed accounts. Or just to try and get our email on top of their inbox again in a couple of weeks.

This is absolutely necessary.

We try to send on behalf of recognizable individuals (and our CSMs) as much as possible, and either have a shared/alias as the reply to (ex: training@, community@, support@).

Those OOOs should absolutely be able to be sent to the reply-to address we select, rather than to the person we’re sending on behalf of.

Love @Padolfi’s idea of getting an indication if a recipient was OOO. Wonder if there might be a way of getting a “autoresponder” or something list we could download for a future send, or something similar… 🤔

This feature would be very useful. We experienced the same issue, one of our CSM’s received 400 plus emails overnight.
