Would it be possible to add the option to show the excact time of a reply on Destination? Right now it says how many minutes, days, months or years ago it was. But there are moments where the exact time is interesting to see.

For example: on our forum we are there as moderators, but there are also other people from the organisation. Sometimes they need to look into something aswel, but they can't see the exact timestamp. They can ask us for it of course, but that's an extra step that isn't needed. Adding the exact timestamp would make that easier.

I don't think this is a big change, since the data is already exists. It's just how it is shown on Destination. I imagine some others don't want to see it this way, so maybe it could be made optional with a setting in Control.

Hi @Jasper, Thanks for posting this idea. I will move this idea to “open” for others to vote on. Could you please elaborate on the use case for your colleagues to see the exact time of a reply?

NewOpen

I think this is something that user should choose this from profile settings: Relative or exact time.

We used Khoros earlier and there user can choose which one to use. Users have asked this from us, why there isnt exact time available.

There are situations when exact time is needed but most of the time relative is enough.

We're an ISP, and specialists from other departments are also reading the topics. Sometimes they see a topic with a problem they can help with, but they need to know the exact time for that. They can ask one of us to look up the time in Control, but that is an extra step. If the timestamp would be visible on Destination, a solution can be found quicker.

Why do comments on Gainsight communities not have a timestamp added? Date and time would be great.

Hey @Gainsight CC Team!

Just hoping for an update on this one as well as adding he additional request of applying this to the category level as well so that when viewing a list of topics the timestamp is shown instead of “X days ago”.

@Gainsight CC Team @Julian This is a very much needed change! Here’s a recap of the need:

Currently, content is date-stamped with a relative format like "X days ago," which requires users to calculate the exact publication date manually. This can be inconvenient, especially when users need the specific date a piece of content was published.

Request: Update the date-stamping format to display the exact publication date (e.g., "November 30, 2024") instead of the relative "X days ago." This change would provide clarity and streamline workflows for users who rely on precise dates.
