Report on users with the most badges?

jennyweigle

Is there a way to pull a report of the users with most badges? This would be interesting info to provide in the template I’m creating for my client’s monthly metric reports. (I’m already including the users who have reached the highest ranks, as well as Top 10 lists of users who have other achievements.) Thank you!

It doesn’t look like there is a way of doing this with the standard export data or the reporting. However, if you have access to the BI Connector BETA, this is easily acquired. I recommend seeing if you can get access to this as it will really open up a whole world of reporting for you ;-)

Hey @jennyweigle - a familiar face from LinkedIn - great to have you here in our community.  :)

As @rhall says above, there isn’t exactly a standard report for this, and a BI tool with data lake could indeed get the job done.

But there is one other approach you can take:

  1. Go to the Users > Users Overview page and set a filter for Badges > Is not empty.  You could choose to apply some additional filters here if needed.
  2. Click on Save as segment.  In my testing just now I gave mine the name ‘Users with badges’.
  3. Go to Users > Segments and open the segment you just created.  It’s a nice big list of all the users that have badges (make sure the badges column is visible).
  4. Click on Export to CSV.

This will give you a nice clean CSV of all your users that have a badge.  The badges column will show all the badges.  They will be comma-separated, so there’s still a small bit of manipulation needed to get to a clean number, but that should be quite easy.

@Kenneth R I hadn’t thought of that way. @jennyweigle I’d give Kenneth the “answer” for this as I suspect that this could suit your requirement immediately. I’d still recommend trying to get on to the BI Connector BETA though 😉
