When editing idea status updates, for example to add an explanation to is, the ideation-status-pill class is stripped from the HTML:

Please leave the class intact on editing.

Thanks for sharing this idea @JasperK → I’m curious to learn more about situations where you need to edit idea status updates. Can you share an example of the last time you edited one, and what kind of explanation you’re adding? Is there any reason you’re editing this auto-reply, rather than posting a separate reply?

Hi Daniel,

Of course you can  post a separate message, but since it is possible to edit the status message it would be nice if the formatting is preserved.

In addition to what Jasper said, perhaps an example is useful.

Let's say I want to close an idea because I repeatedly didn't get response to the feedback asked. It then feels like overkill to first provide a status update, and elaborate on this in a separate message.

One notification is then sufficient: the text belongs together, the communication in the idea remains a bit clearer, and I don't spam the user.

In that case it would indeed be nice if the formatting of the class remains intact when editing the status update.
