Our CSMs would like us to disable the Email Activity type on the global timeline as they do not see a use for it. I can see in documentation we cannot delete the 5 default Activity types. Gainsight Assist is the Outlook plugin, and the emails you push to timeline via that plugin will be of “email” type.
Can you provide more insight into the rationale for now wanting Email activity type in Timeline while using Gainsight Assist? How would you like your emails to appear in timeline if not as emails?
