Search engine needs to be improved.

We get many complains on this topic from our users.

Search results many times do not match what you are actually searching for and apart from that there are no options to search within a specific category or period of time.

Chiming in here! Here are some specific improvements to search that our members would like to see. Posting specific feedback we’ve received from one of our certified Experts/leaders:

Noticed on other pages that there are options to sort by "recently active", "Most views", and "Most replies". It's unclear how search results are sorted by default.
Seems like it's "best match", yet unclear how that is determined, but for sure not based on recency.

Seems like the options to sort search results as ascending/descending is missing.
For example, by most likes, by most comments, by date, by views, by recently active, recently solved, etc.

There is no ability to narrow down the result set to a given time frame. (e.g. last month)
This would be helpful to view more recent Topics that may be more relevant as apps often update issues or release new features over time.

Or how about a simple filter option to narrow results to Topics that have been "solved" or "unsolved".

It may be nice to be able to filter results by Community Member role

Or perhaps something more advanced similar to Gmail's search operators.
