Hello Team!

It's been discovered that right now Gainsight does not support the ability to link the CTA Object to Custom Objects created by other Managed Packages in a customer's Org.

It would be useful if we could implement this in the future for Objects that have a lookup back to Account.

Thanks,
Logan Thome

That seems strange - are you sure it is not a licensing/permission issue?  For example, you have to have a GS license to see our Managed Package objects - maybe this other package requires the same.

Ditto to what Denise said.

"Linked Objects allow you to link CTAs to other Salesforce objects, whether they are standard objects, like Opportunity or Contact, or custom objects."

It is a limitation set by Salesforce. It is not possible create lookup to other namespace objects through API; but it is possible through Salesforce UI.
