I am working to roll out Timeline with a customer and they would like to add subtypes to timeline activity types. For instance when they add meetings, they would like to know what type of meeting it is(for reporting purposes)Example: CSA Meeting. Do we have any plans to add this functionality to expand the activity types?
Couldn't we achieve this today already by just adding more activity types and putting them all under the same reporting category? 





Also, have an open enhancement request to enable picklist fields to be added to activity layout, this would allow to add a "category / type" field with several options
We are working on supporting picklists, which would allow us to capture such details when logging activities. But if we want the sub-types to be more like CTA reason codes (single list), we might have to also support creating dependencies to be able to separate values out by activity type. 
Nadav - They want to be more granular about the type of meeting/call etc. There is a limit on types you can create and creating types for both EBR Meeting, CSA Meeting would clutter up the activity type drop down. Do we know when the picklists will be added to Timeline?

Yes, adding picklist fields will be available in fall.
