Sponsor Tracking URLs With Prefixes Supported

Hey Team!

Posting in behalf of a customer that is experiencing some issues with tracking some of their Global Contacts. Right now, Sponsor Tracking does not support tracking contacts that have a URL in their LinkedIn profile!

For example:
  • https://cn.linkedin.com/in/Random-example - Will not be tracked in Gainsight's Sponsor Tracking.
  • https://linkedin.com/in/Random-example - Will be tracked!
This can definitely be a problem for our customers abroad! Many contacts from areas other than the U.S. will not be trackable in ST, rendering a part of our product unusable for our global customers. 

In the past, we've brought up eventually supporting URL's with Prefixes and other characters to be supported directly from Gainsight. Do we have an eventual ETA on when this might be supported?

A significant portion of our business from countries where a prefix is added to LinkedIn.
The fact that such prefixes are not supported means that the CSM's need to go and search the URL and paste if in Sponsor Tracking.
And in many times they also need to wait 72h until a match is found. Which means that they need to go again and accept the match.
This is lots of work, that can be saved.

Hi Logan,

We see this issue primarily with China Linkedin prefix (cn.linkedin) and currently not in a position to work around this issue for the profiles with Chinese prefix. But if you are observing this issue for other country prefixes as well, do let us know and we will investigate.

We see it happens for other prefixes as well such as: 
ie.linkedin.com
be.linkedin.com
ca.linkedin.com
fr.linkedin.com
etc.
