I highly recommend this. My experience winning a GameChanger Award at Pulse 2023 was incredible.

Additionally, the nomination process was valuable in reflecting back on my work and articulating what I had accomplished over the past year.

That’s so incredible to hear @DannyPancratz and thanks for saying this And Congratulations to you for going ahead to win the Architect Award this year 💙 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Would you have tips for folks writing their dissertations for submission?

@anirbandutta my primary advice for others it to pay attention to this part:

  • Submissions must include substantial quantitative and qualitative results.
  • Please submit as a Microsoft Word .DOC or Adobe .PDF, including any supporting screenshots or data.
  • For the best chance of winning, we encourage submissions to be as thoughtful and detailed as possible.

I leaned in hard on those requirements and put together a 20 page nomination (though it was probably 2/3 images: data in charts, screen shots, etc) and that approach paid off. 😊

One thing I can say is that these are not “fluff” awards, the committee reviewed the nominations thoroughly and multiple people, including Nick Meta mentioned reading my nomination. So your efforts won’t go unread, even if you don’t win. (but my advice if you “go long” like I did is to to provide a great executive summary and table of contents at the beginning)

Additionally, I framed each project I included in two parts:

  1. How it helped customers
  2. How it helped our business

After all, we’re talking about CS, right? Mutual value realization is key.
