REST API to add a timeline entry on a Success Plan

Hi,

I am a new here and have a question.

In the API documentation (https://support.gainsight.com/Gainsight_NXT/API_and_Developer_Docs/Timeline_API/Timeline_APIs) the field ContextName can be “Company” or “Relationship”.

But, when a timeline entry is created manually, the context name is set to “SuccessPlan”.

Is it possible to add a timeline entry via REST API to a Success Plan?

If yes, could you please provide me with a body example?

thank you in advance and kind regards, Rachel

Hi @rachelgurgel,

I believe that creating a Timeline Entry against a Success Plan is currently NOT possible via the API. Even if you supply a Success Plan GSID in the “contextId” field and a value of “SuccessPlan” in the “contextName” field, the API still throws an error.

I would recommend logging a support ticket for this behavior and see if the Gainsight Product team picks this up as a bug or an enhancement request.
