In the newly added Search Data, would it be possible to add a table that links searched terms with user id?

Hi @jvdc

Yes, the documentation is being prepared and should be available in the upcoming days. Thx for your patience.

Hey thanks! Which table would hold the user ids?

Hey @jvdc,

Thanks for the question! Unfortunately, linking searched terms to individual user IDs isn't something we're able to support in Search Data. The analytics are designed to return aggregated, anonymized metrics, so you can see what people are searching for and how those searches perform, but not who searched for what.

This is intentional: our search infrastructure is built around privacy-by-design principles, meaning user-level identifiers aren't exposed through the analytics layer. This keeps things compliant with data privacy standards and aligned with how modern search platforms handle analytics at scale.

That said, if there's a specific use case you're trying to solve, like understanding whether certain user segments are finding what they need, let us know. There may be other ways to get at the insight you're after using the data we do surface.

Kind regards,

Graeme

Hey Graeme,

Makes sense!

Our intent was indeed to find out at user-segment level (using user profile fields) what they are searching and if they're finding it.
