SKILLJAR: Embedded YouTube video error "Sign in to confirm you're not a bot"

Some users on our Skilljar-powered Academy report embedded YouTube videos displaying this error. They are signed into Skilljar, but this error occurs because they are viewing the embedded YouTube video without being signed into YouTube.

Is there anything Skilljar can do to prevent this? YouTube likely identified this traffic as potential bot traffic. Can Skilljar not do anything to convince it otherwise?

Do you think advising users to log in to their own YouTube account would be helpful? I’m not sure if the embedded video is aware of whether the user is logged in or not. I will ask them to try for now, but any advice would be appreciated.

Hi @sam.walker

It highly looks like a network related issue.

I’d suggest reaching out to support for help in this, if not already done.
