Skilljar: Using the Same Course Across Multiple Catalog Pages ; How Do You Handle Course Exit Navigation?

This is a common challenge when managing courses that appear across multiple catalog pages. Unfortunately, Skilljar doesn't currently offer a native way to dynamically redirect learners back to the specific catalog page they came from and the Exit navigation in a course is a static link, so it will always point to the same destination regardless of where the learner originated.
 

The most common workaround we see customers use is to direct all learners to a general landing page or homepage as the Exit destination. This avoids the confusion of sending learners to the "wrong" catalog page and provides a neutral, consistent experience regardless of which catalog they started from.

If you'd like to implement this via a code snippet in your Theme settings, you can set a global Exit redirect to your homepage or a central catalog page this way, learners always have a sensible place to land after completing a course, even when that course lives in multiple catalogs.
 

While there isn't a clean out-of-the-box solution for context-aware Exit navigation today, this is a great piece of feedback to share! If dynamic Exit navigation based on referral source is something you'd like to see in a future release, I'd encourage you to submit this as a product idea through our Ideas portal so our Product team can consider it.
