As part of our recent project to merge the Gainsight and inSpired communities we made some changes to the statuses of our ideas in order to make them more simple, streamlined and intuitive.

Below is a set of simple definitions for each of our current statuses.

Idea Status

Open

Idea has been reviewed and acknowledged by a Product Manager

Discovery

Requirements are being gathered and feasibility is being evaluated

Development

Released

Closed (Won’t Do)

Idea won’t be worked on as it isn’t feasible or aligned with product direction

Current Behaviour

Idea won’t be worked on as it is already current behavior or possible with workaround

Closed (Duplicate)

Idea has been merged into an existing idea as it was a duplicate

@Kenneth R  Thanks for this! Is there a rubric or chart that shows how and when these get moved from one status to the next?

Hi @bytor104 - we don’t exactly have a chart for that, as it’s largely dependent on the product roadmap.  Our Product teams are constantly evaluating new platform features and as work progresses through the key stages of discovery, development and release, the idea statuses are updated accordingly.
