Happy New Year everyone!🙂

Question: how late is too late to wish someone a ‘Happy New Year’? 😅

We’re thrilled to kick off another year with all of you being part of this community.

I’m over the moon as I kick off this newsletter that our little community team has grown and I have a new teammate to share my love for re-watching classic movies on Christmas nights! 😃

Let’s shower some love and welcome @samanthahamlet here ⬇️

The Community Needs You…

Our community has continued to grow stronger because of the foundation of peer to peer support that flows in the veins of the community members here.

Here are a few questions that fellow members haven’t found an answer to. Help them by sharing your take!

Rewind & Refresh

Last year was truly a special and a busy one.

We welcomed close to 2000 new members into this community family through 2025!

Our Customer Insights & Best Practices category was off to a strong start, with 46 customer-led discussions highlighting real product usage, practical insights, and shared learnings across the community.

Here are some recent ones in case you missed them:

Some truly interesting and much awaited releases happened within our products with AI shining through!

Gainstars was the talk of town everywhere - even at Pulse!

Here’s the door to your access in case you want to know more:

We revamped few things here...

We also made some much needed tweaks to the experience on this platform. We retired some inactive community categories, optimised the homepage widgets, added the awesome idea pipeline widget to our Ideas page and revamped our design language across the site.

Member Spotlight

Strong communities don’t grow on their own - they are powered by members who give their time, insights, and support.

What’s a small win (personal or professional) from the past year that you’re especially proud of?

Prior to the last 18 months or so, I had some tacet assumptions about which workflows could be effectively automated in a secure way. In the intervening months, LLM-powered tools have proven some of those assumptions wrong. The technical boundaries of automation have been pushed out in an incremental way, but I find myself getting more out of my entire toolset, including those applications that don't integrate AI yet. LLMs in the enterprise have constituted a huge call to action about process value and efficiency that is probably more consequential (at this point) than the outputs of the tools themselves.

What’s something people would be surprised to learn about you?

I'm an obsessive gardener and seed saver. As a result, I have an organized, but problematically large seed collection that I'm constantly trying to share. I can steer small talk toward pole bean varieties faster than you might assume was possible.

What’s one thing you’re genuinely looking forward to learning or exploring this year?

As AI continues to join the workforce and change headcount across a broad swath of SaaS customers, we'll see more vendors move to or toward usage/outcome-based pricing models. This will change the way we collect and interpret product adoption data, e.g. more server-side signals, less direct engagement. It will broaden our definition of SaaS value and require us to reassess how we communicate that value to adoption data consumers like CS teams.

What keeps you coming back to the Gainsight community?

The Gainsight community shares my favorite characteristic of Gainsight the company: success for all. Help when you can. If any of us succeeds, we all do better. As Gainsight's product offerings have broadened, the resulting growth of the community has been so positive. I can't think of another customer community that I've participated in that even comes close.

What’s a small win (personal or professional) from the past year that you’re especially proud of?

  • On the personal front, I focused on building healthier habits like consistent workouts, cleaner eating (cooked most of my meals myself), and weaving in more movement into my routine. I also struck better balance, with time for travel adventures and quality moments with family—small changes that added up big.
  • Professionally, I enjoyed pitching in on AI-driven projects like AI Follow-Up as well as key initiatives for our valued customers. A significant win was delivering the top two voted community requests, which have been received really well. To top it off, getting that internal Quarterly All-Star recognition for Resilience was a humbling bonus.

What’s something people would be surprised to learn about you?

I'm an occasional stage actor on the side, and have performed in over 60 shows across major Indian cities over the last 7 years. It's fun how the day job turns into a spotlight sometimes.

What’s one thing you’re genuinely looking forward to learning or exploring this year?

With tech and AI evolving at breakneck speed, it's tough to map out the learning for the whole year, but I'm currently keen on learning AI tools and exploring custom GPTs for in-depth market research. Also learning more on LLM evaluations for products. It'll be key to refining our products in smart ways.

What keeps you coming back to the Gainsight community?

The Gainsight Community is like a collaborative think tank that keeps us grounded and growing. What keeps me coming back is the spark for new ideas for improving our products, the validation and course-corrections, on what we're building, and all that constructive feedback for what’s delivered.

I’ve kept this newsletter comparatively shorter than the last one, since our next one is going to be filled with bigger wins and plans for the year! 🔥

Thank you for being part of this community & as always, feel free to reach out to us for anything at community@gainsight.com

Onwards & Upwards together! 🚀
