We have a high volume of activity happening in a group at the moment and customers are getting slammed with email notifications to their inboxes because “subscriptions” are toggled on by default. Is there a way that I can adjust what is toggled on by default to reduce noise for customers?

At the moment I don’t think there’s a community-wide or group-wide setting for that which you can control on behalf of other users. But I definitely would upvote this if you wanted to suggest it as an Idea here.

If it helps at all (while admittedly not ideal), customers can disable alerts from a specific group in the menu for it, such as this example:
