Allow an Article to be tied to multiple categories

This is something that we really want as well in our knowledge base. We have multiple products and a lot of overlap for product-agnostic questions, articles, resources, etc. Creating duplicate topics is a non-starter for us as a solution because it’s not scalable or sustainable. 

I second this so very much. Especially for our Knowledge Base.

Case in point: We have two tv boxes and a whole host of how-to articles for them. 85% of those articles apply to both boxes. The remainder apply to a single box. So now we have 3 categories: one for box A, one for box B and one for the articles that apply to both. This is confusing for our customers.

Agree this would be helpful as I have to duplicate and recreate articles across products to assure they display in each category.  This would be a big timesaver! 

Thanks everyone for the additional use cases here! This kind of detail really helps us understand the scope of the problem. The KB multi-category scenario that ​@Erik_ described in particular illustrates exactly why cross-posting to a catch-all category isn't a clean solution.

We'll make sure this is captured as we continue to evaluate this idea.
