Hi! Wondering while we wait for a support ticket, if anyone else is experiencing image uploads within their community this morning?

We get a “value too long” error banner when attempting to save changes and publish.

So far I've tried:

  • Resizing image files (down to 450x600) JPG
  • Drag and drop into the Product Update/Article
  • Copy and paste into the Product Update/Article
  • Image import function

Anyone have helpful tips or workarounds or experiencing the same issue?

Hey @genells

Had something similar myself this past week - where when going to upload any image wouldnt prompt the image crop window process as normal.

After going through a support ticket, clearing caches/cookies etc it turns out the process worked fine when trying to carry out the same processes via an incognito browser tab. Have you tried this?

This indicates, for myself at least, that a potential browser extension may be messing with this feature which I’m now trying to resolve internally- so in case this might be the same case for you, it would be worth checking out!

Thanks for flagging this. I’ve now raised this internally, and will keep you updated on this as soon as I know more.

Thank you @BradleyOVO! Super helpful, I’ll try those steps.

To clarify the issue is within the body of the post, not the image crop window for Featured Images that presents the cropping function.

Attaching a screenshot.

Update: Our team has been working on this and image uploads should be back to normal for many of you now. If you want to try again, let me know if you're still running into issues!
