So, my org has multiple products which means there are multiple product updates that go out at any and all times.

We currently use the Product Updates part of the platform but realize that folks aren’t subscribing because it’s an all or nothing kinda thing. We want to be able to organize product updates better by product and were thinking of creating groups for this instead where members can sign up for a group and receive a notification when an article (product update) is made.

I was wondering if you all had any ideas on how to best do product updates so that members can only receive those to the specific products that they are interested in instead of all or nothing, I hope I made sense.

They’re researching and designing some improvements related to this:

(You need to be part of this group to reply (and maybe see) that post)

But regardless of what they’re asking here, the issue is the inability to subscribe to just 1 of the categories within Product Updates. I’ve given that feedback as part of the thread above and some conversations with product. And this idea indicates it’s in Discovery:

So maybe Gainsight will solve it in the future. Until then… 🤷 (sorry)

@jay_honeybook Your idea to use Groups will work.

You can also leverage the Forums and create a category for Product Updates and sections for your specific products. You can then look into which custom roles can view, post, etc. these forums or even make it so only employees can post in them.

I’d check with your CSM/Gainsight Support to see which method would be easiest to migrate over once Gainsight makes those potential changes.
