Hey,

Is there any way to convert a community category to a section?

We are in the process of splitting a category into multiple sub-categories therefore the main category will now need to be converted into a community section…

Any tips?

Unfortunately, we can't convert a category directly to a section.

A workaround to this could be to create a new section and start splitting/moving this main/sub category into it - i’m sure you already thought about this
You can rename categories, so you can rename the main category to sub category and create a new section with the same name as main category.

Hey ​@revathimenon yes, that what's I figured though, I should have moved the main category as a sub-category like you suggested instead of deleting it… because now I lost all subscribers...
