Do community badges backfill?

We have rolled out our Community in phases and we’re now ready to start awarding badges. If we enable automated badges, will CC go through all users from the past to award badges to any who qualify, or is it only going to award badges moving forward to users who qualify after the date we enable the badge?

Hi @JayS - the automated badges will be applied to any member that qualifies (also retroactively) but only once that member has taken at least one new action in the community (at a minimum visiting and logging in). This is a handy thing, as you’ll avoid members who haven’t visited the community in a long time getting new badge notifications out of nowhere.
