Question

Email Campaign Subscription for Customers

Hi Folks,

We recently distributed a newsletter to a select group of customers through our email campaign. Although I can view the number of unsubscribes on the main dashboard, I need assistance in figuring out how to enable the option for customers to subscribe to our email updates. For instance, if a customer receives the newsletter, how can they opt to subscribe to future emails? I would greatly appreciate a detailed guide and a reference to a help center article.

Thanks,

Roy

Hi @Sougatoroy - every user has a setting in their user settings (here it’s https://communities.gainsight.com/settings/notifications) to toggle the receipt of Campaigns (sent by CC) on or off.  The default when registering to the community is ‘on’. If you have sent an email campaign through your platform, there’s no need to have those recipients click a link to subscribe to future mailings as they will already be subscribed in order for them to have received your mail.

Hi Kenneth! Thanks for your help. I wanted to clarify if this applies to users who have joined any company community, like Gong or Zapier (Just taking an example). If they send an email to their user base from the community Console, will it function in the same manner? Thanks!

Hey @Sougatoroy - yes it will work in a similar way in other CC communities (though of course the individual user setting is unique to each member account on each community).

Hi @Kenneth R I appreciate your help! Is there a full article or documentation available on this? I'm still a little confused about the topic.
