Hi - I am new & learning more about Gainsight to see how it can improve our experience for our internal departments. I know that Gainsight is mostly used for CSMs with customer data. Is anyone using Gainsight to help streamline processes for internal teams, not necessarily involving customer data? I would love to hear different use cases and how it benefits your teams!

I help run our community. Our org does use all GS products there are additional examples but Im not the person to talk on them.

For community:
We run all of our Betas inside of our community platform. This includes customer facing and employee only ones.

We have a “Dogs at Jamf” location for employees only to post their pets in.

We have a custom role for employees. This gives them a unique rank which displays their affiliation. Also helps with tracking metrics to see who is doing what within community.

Other orgs I worked at, not on GS but can be done in community, hosted an employee only section in their community. Tech/support documentation, internal KBs, internal employee product discussions, internal ideation and more were located inside. This pushed community as the single source of truth to further drive employee participation in community.

What is your idea @brookem14 so use Gainsight as a sort of internal community platform to connect colleagues and update them better?

@Sanne van Opstal-Brakel  I am brand new to learning about Gainsight. I was wondering if it was good to assigning tasks & maybe having a dashboard to see what everyone on the team is working on, aligning on due dates, & holding all details of a request/task in the same place. I was hoping to provide more transparency into what our team is working on at all times & also to help with time management and what tasks are more priority than others. Hoping to attend the Pulse conference to learn more, but just trying to brainstorm ideas before!

Do you mean Community related tasks as in tasks moderators are working on @brookem14 or other tasks your team is working on?

Sorry @Sanne van Opstal-Brakel  I was not very specific! I did help out with the Community for awhile, and knew that they were exploring using Gainsight for that as well. I no longer work much in there, but was looking more for our team. Our team helps out all teams in our department with a variety of things. If someone needs assistance, they submit a ticket to our team of the work needing to be done, and then someone on our team is assigned to help with it. Sometimes it is just a small task, or other times, a coverage of their position if they are going out on parental leave. The positions we cover range from CSM roles to internal facing roles such as ones that create trainings, documentation, internal playbooks, communications, etc.
