Group Invitation links have recently been updated with a 90 day expiry. Previously there was no expiry (correct me if I’m wrong).
This is an issue because, I had automations set up to auto invite a user from a specific company to a group, when they join the Community:
Create Segment for: @customerdomain.com
Create Custom Field “Customer Name”
Periodically, ie Daily, navigate to the Segment and ‘Select All’, apply the “Customer Name” Custom Field to the Segment.
Create Automated Email including Trigger: Custom Role “Customer Name”. This email will be sent when you Apply the Custom Field to the Segment.
This process can be truly automated, I think, with Zapier. I.e. no manually applying the Custom Field to the Segment. I haven’t done this yet.
Anyway…..
The automated email I have will now need to be updated every 90 days because the link contained within it will expire.

- Happy to hear about alternate ways to auto invite users to Groups, once they join first the Community.
- Can Gainsight consider a Group invitation link that does’t expire (like there was before?)?
