Has anyone built a campaign flow to Community from Salesforce?

While I understand the Community has email campaign functionality, I’d like it to be automated so I am looking at the possibility of using Salesforce (we already have the integration setup) to accomplish the following…

  • Build a flow once a customer has posted/commented
    • 1st time is a celebration to encourage contribution
    • 2nd is maybe pointing them to other posts that need some love or are hot topics
    • 3rd is to say they are on fire and to invite them to the champion program

I haven’t done it with Salesforce, but here are some paths to look into for your use case

CC Email Campaigns

I’ve done this as an automated email with their 1st post.

  • Zapier automation to see if it’s their first post
  • Add a custom role if it’s their first post
  • Custom role makes them eligible for the automated email
  • Email campaign sends to them

Use case: positive reinforcement and managing expectations on what they should expect in terms of Q&A, sharing some FAQs, etc.

Salesforce

If you’re using the CC integration with Salesforce, it should be writing their activities to their community member objects in salesforce.

With that, it’s about building the salesforce reports and automations that identify that their number of posts = 1 and then doing whatever salesforce needs to add them to your campaign.

Thanks @DannyPancratz! I wish our company still had Zapier. I’ll look into it through the Salesforce integration.
