Has anyone used the web crawler or API method to federate Community content from Zendesk?

We’re exploring different ways to federate Community content from Zendesk and are curious if anyone has experience using the Webcrawler method or the API approach.

If you’ve tried either method, we’d love to learn from you:

  • How did you set it up?

  • What worked well?

  • Any lessons learned or pitfalls to avoid?

Any guidance or examples would be incredibly helpful — thanks in advance for sharing your experience!

I have only migrated 2 full communities off of Zendesk onto other community platforms. I have not setup their federated search.

Looks like you need to go https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/9886194587290 to get the info however. I do not have a zendesk account to check but this article looks like the guide per their documentation.

On the GS CC platform, you need to go to x-en.insided.com/settings/api to most likely setup that API connection for the Zendesk platform to connect for that search.

Hey @ryanne.perry

Great question - I’m gonna try and loop in some of our members to share their experiences, if any!
