We’re developing a new AI-powered search and chatbot tool, Autopilot, and we’re looking for customers to join us in a pilot program. If you’re interested in testing cutting-edge technology and influencing its development, we’d love to hear from you.

What we’re building
Autopilot will serve as an AI-powered CSM that provides comprehensive support by connecting to all available knowledge sources within your organization. This includes community interactions, knowledge bases, and other internal systems, ensuring that your customers receive accurate and timely answers. Our vision is to make the community and chatbot the central hub where your customers can go for everything related to support and customer success.

Preview in action
To give you an idea of what Autopilot will be capable of, we’re designing a user interface that will integrate seamlessly into your community, product, and support channels, offering AI-generated answers and suggestions that can adapt to the needs of your customers. You can also check out an early version in action at Gong Visioneers (try searching), where AI-generated answers are already being utilized.

We’re looking for customers who:

  • Are focused on improving support through AI.
  • Plan to use a chatbot to provide overall support and connect it to all sources that can help provide answers and support.
  • Intend to make the community and chatbot the central hub where customers go for everything related to support and customer success.
  • Are willing to invest time in testing, promoting the chatbot to customers, and providing feedback.

If you’re interested and fit the above description, please comment or like this post and we will reach out to understand if you are a good fit. We’re aiming to work with about 10 customers who are excited to help us bring this innovative tool to life.

Hello everyone! This thread has been silent for a while, so it's time for an update. We’re working on the first concepts of the Autopilot experience and we would love to hear your thoughts on two potential directions we are exploring.

Firstly, we want to understand which experience works best for you. Should Autopilot be a full-page chat experience or a floating assistant? Your feedback will help us refine the experience to better meet your needs.

Full-page Experience

  • AI chat is housed on a dedicated page.
  • Provides a distraction-free environment for focused conversations.
  • Users always have ample space for longer chat interactions.
Full-page experience

Floating Assistant

  • AI chat hovers over the page and is always available in the bottom-right corner.
  • Allows users to chat while browsing the Community.
  • Users can expand the chat window when they need more space.

Floating Assistant - expanded view

Which experience do you prefer? Would you rather have a dedicated space for chatting, or do you find an always-available floating assistant more convenient? Your input will help us build an AI assistant that seamlessly fits into your workflow.

Let us know your thoughts by leaving a comment. Thanks for helping us shape the future of Autopilot!

Well, I guess it’s time for the Super User invasion!

For me, I kinda prefer the floating option so that it’s easy to access basically everywhere. Given that I’m constantly bouncing all over the OVO Forum and routinely have a bazillion tabs open, I’d find it easier to have the chat window float rather than be a full-page so that I’ve got it right where I need it - ready next to the post editor! :)

But I guess you could do a hybrid approach and allow it to expand to a full-page for if I want to throw it up in a dedicated tab and just have it there on its own screen (I run a triple-screen setup) for those who prefer that option.

Thanks for your insights @Blastoise186 - very useful. A hybrid approach is definitely something to consider!

Hello everyone

I agree with @Blastoise186. Floating seems more convenient especially for the single screen setup and people are having the tendency to have bazillion tabs open :) I would defiantly consider hybrid approach.

Thank you.

If you go with floating, would there be customization on where on the page it would be placed? i.e. bottom, left, right? Could you do a sidebar widget, etc?

Hi @ahamburg9 - we’re focussing on a full-page experience first. In future iterations we’ll consider a floating widget, in that case customisation on the position of the widget will be taken into account.
