How are you using AI to better understand your community? Gainsight MCP

As Community Leaders, we have access to a lot of data, but turning that data into meaningful insights isn't always straightforward. Between dashboards, reports, and moderation queues, finding the answers we need can take time.

AI could change that, but I'm curious how far along everyone is in exploring these possibilities.

For example, what if you could simply ask an AI tool a question about your community and get an answer based on your live community data? Or use it to help identify trends, simplify moderation triage, or better understand member behavior?

This is where the Model Context Protocol (MCP) comes in. It allows AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude to connect with community systems and work with their data.

If you’re interested in learning more about how this could work in practice, Tom Vriens and Julian Lindhorst from Gainsight will introduce MCP and explore its potential applications for community teams.

If you're interested, feel free to join us! If you don't have the meeting in your calendar yet, use this link and let us know so we can add you to the meetup series.

A couple of questions for the community:

  • Are you already using AI to analyze community data or support moderation?

  • What's one community management task you'd love AI to make easier?

  • What would you want to ask your community data if you could do it in plain language?

It would be great to hear what others are experimenting with, what's working, and where you see the biggest opportunities. It’s a presentation and an open discussion!
