How can wee keep the community public but disable registrations?

Hey, I would like to promote our community more widely + build links for SEO but I can't seem to find a way to keep the community public while disabling public registrations.

In fact, we want only our users to access the community and they can do so via SSO. We don't want to allow anyone to register without passing by the SSO but we still want to keep the visibility of the community + the Q&As so they can be searchable on Google. Any idea?

Thanks!

Hi Simona,

You can disable the ‘Default authentication’ option in Control → Integrations → SSO. This way your users can only sign up and sign in with the SSO that you’ve enabled for your community (and your community stays public)

Should be able to make it public and only offer a signup option which is SSO via your application. That would require some customization of the various screens involved, but should be possible.

@Yoeri, that's the setting I was looking for - the experience is as we want it right now. Thank you!
