How to be notified about applications to private groups?

We are using one private group, but I don’t seem to have a way of being notified when someone applies to join the group. 

This article tells me how to approve people to join, but doesn’t mention if I should be notified of new applications. Am I to understand the current solution is to just check daily for new applications? Or is there a notification I am missing? 

Assuming notifications do not exist, this another reason I’d like to see the idea below implemented so that I might hide groups for all except certain user roles. Please vote for it if you also would like to see it implemented.

there is no notification at present for when users apply to join Groups

@Customers, I have added this idea. Please vote for it if you have a need for this as well.

@DannyPancratz there is no notification at present for when users apply to join Groups, but I do agree that it would be of added value for you to know when there are new applicants, so I definitely think it's a good idea to post an idea about it.
