Hey everyone! I’m looking for a way to export a user’s total logged in minutes for a given time frame. This is something we had and were reporting on when we were on Khoros to weed out infrequent users, and I can’t figure out how to do this in Gainsight CC. Have tried Analytics → Export → Login/User “Export types”.

Hi @MaddieJ - Sorry for the late response to this one.  I’m familiar with the metric you mention from the years that I worked with Khoros myself (although from what I remember - and this goes way back and could well have changed - it wasn’t all that reliable).  We don’t really have a direct equivalent to it in our platform.  You can indeed look at logins, but those are just timestamps for moments that users are authenticated, and therefore don’t give you a sense of the amount of time they spent online in the community.

I would suggest that the best thing to do might be to look for an alternative way to think about how you define ‘infrequent users’.  If you have a way to get access to our data lake you might be able to get more creative in tracking things like visits, pages viewed, and other activities at a member level with a customised report.

If that’s not an option I’d personally look for a simpler approach using native data points like logins (and time since last login) and activities like posts.  You could, for example, experiment with filters in the User Overview and save them as Segments.
