Is anyone including both clients and prospects in their community and providing tailored experiences?

Currently our community is just for clients - but we’d like to include select prospects to give them social proof. However they’s have a much more limited view and access in what they could do.

How do others manage this with system emails and the overall experience?

Thank you!

Hi @Gaby we are about a week away from doing this by adding a limited public experience to our currently private, customers-only community.

Community registration and participation will still be customer only, but guest users will be able to view a selection of community discussion forums.

We will be using roles to control the visibility of content, components, and pages that we do not want to be visible to public users, aka guest users.

The guest user experience will also feature CTAs that connect to our inbound pipeline as well to learn more about our products or request a demo, etc.

Since guest users won’t be able to register or participate in community activity we won’t need to do anything special with system emails or notifications.

Hello @Gaby You could use custom roles for to better build an experience for existing customers vs prospects.

The existing spaces you have today could be gated behind permissions. Those permissions could be automated in via GS CS roles. You can build a custom role like “Customer” to help with this.

You could build a new location, for full public view or via Custom Roles / permissions if you dont want your community public in anyway, for that new group to see.
If you do build a new location, I would recommend making a few posts in that new spot and communicating with your existing members on whats going on. (Im sure you have this planned already just wanted to note it)

Happy to expand on this further if youd like. Ive done this a few times at a few orgs and do something similar to this today with our super user program.
