I have a couple of phrases that include a few HTML tags, for example, when a post is closed. Up until recently, it all looked fine. Now it seems that the tags are no longer rendered:

Interestingly, it seemed to stop working, then worked again, and now is no longer working. So I wonder if it’s related to the “You Have No Permissions” update recently?

It would be great if basic tags remained supported in phrases, if for no other reason than to avoid long, run-on sentences.

Saw this yesterday too and opened a support ticket about it. I hope it’s just a bug and not removing support.

Thanks @DannyPancratz - it’s always good to get that sanity check and know I’m not the only one seeing this 👍🏻

My support ticket on this is not going well: they think it’s the same as another issue I reported previously.

But for me, this is net-new and different from the other html-phrase-editing issue I reported months ago (tip: don’t edit notification center phrases from the front end).

 we’ll see…

I just went ahead and removed the HTML for now.

Hey @DannyPancratz & @FMEEvangelist 👋,

I’m getting this escalated as I agree this is a net-new issue. Historically, there hasn’t been consistency between which phrases accept HTML vs. phrases that don’t but it looks like something has changed that has caused previously working phrases with HTML to break. I’ll raise this to our engineers now so they can take a look 👀

Much appreciated @olimarrio

This bug has been fixed as per my support ticket update:

I wanted to let you know that our engineers have fixed the issue with HTML not rendering in the topic.closed.info_message phrase.

You should now be able to use <strong>, hyperlinks, underline, italics, and other supported HTML tags in your phrase as before, and have them render correctly rather than displaying the raw HTML characters.
