Is it possible to filter a category topic by newest first?

For our product news and announcements page we want our category topics to be filtered by newest first as default for all people visiting the page. Is that possible?

Use Case: We want to link to our Product News and Announcements page from our newsletter. So when people click the link they see the list of updates but they see the newest topics there first.

At the moment it seems that it’s only possible to have recently active as the default filter.

Hello! I am not sure there is a way to do this today but putting something as a “Sticky Topic” will keep it at the top regardless of last action taken on a post. This might be a solid work around for the time being!

Thanks @mitchell.gordon 🙏

So a workaround we figured out was to customise the URL to automatically take the user to the “newest” filter. So the URL looks something like this:

https://.../product-news-announcements-108?sort=publishedAt
