Hi All,

I want to know whether it’s possible to setup leaderboard widget in communities? For example let say I want to setup the widget in Customer Communities (CC)

If it’s not currently possible, are there any workarounds?

 

This widget is available out of the box on any customizable page: 

  • Home
  • Community overview
  • KB overview
  • Ideation
  • Custom Pages

It’s only available for the Sidebar. 

Find it under Gamification in the Widget Library while in customize mode

If you’re looking to do a filtered Leaderboard specific to just one category or one product or anything, that’s somewhat possible, but not really possible. 

This widget works as small version of the one single leaderboard for your community. 

You are able to customize which users are excluded when editing the widget settings. 

Exclude users via the widget’s settings

That means that you could create a system of tagging users with custom roles and then excluding the user roles until you have a bespoke leaderboard for that product/category. 

However, it’s not really creating a custom leaderboard because

  1. Links that open to the full leaderboard will be the full community
  2. The points shown are based on activity across the whole community, not just that category

But it’s technically a way to get to a mini widget version of what you may be looking to do. Your custom user role logic would just need to be worked out and implemented. 


In Admin, you can go to Customize > Sidebar > Leaderboard. Here you can build a leaderboard out of the box.
