Limited internal access to Artifacts created using gainsight connector/MCP

Hello! I created a artifact/dashboard via Claude for our client success team that is pulling community user data through the Gainsight connector / MCP. However because the CSM team isn’t a community manager or admin in the backend of the Gainsight Community they can’t see the artifact/dashboard (their community connector access is very limited without one of those roles assigned). I don’t want to give them all that access since it’s a lot of people and they shouldn’t have full editing access. Giving them the primary role of “moderator” would be a good fix. Is this possible? how does one even go about getting this changed? 😶

We’ve intentionally baked in the access the way we did for now because we are working on an overhaul of roles and permissions to make them a lot more granular across the app.

Part of this includes adding dedicated permissions to MCP access and we are nailing down what it will take to get us there in the next 1 - 2 months max. I assure you this is a problem we are actively working on solving and we’ll be in touch around details when it’s closer to release!

This is a great question!

Let me check this internally and I’ll get back to you with more info on this 😊

Thanks for letting me know @Larry! Updating these permissions will be so key so we can share all the great insights that MCP is generating internally with various teams without having to make (upwards of 100s of people in my case) admins in the community who aren’t trained to be. If you need a client to give feedback / chat through your thinking I’d be very open to help! In my ideal world - those I’ve given the custom role of “employee” to would be ideal to have the mcp permissions.

Right now you need to be an admin or community manager to view this:
