Hey Lena, we’re newer to the community events space, but I’m happy to share a few things we’ve been exploring!
- We’ve found it really helpful to use the article drafting feature to create an event recap thread in advance of the event and schedule its publishing, which means that we’re able to get a placeholder URL for the post and include that in any other communication materials, such as a follow-up email, QR code, etc. We’ve found this helpful in order to be able to send event attendees to the community immediately as a next step.
- It’s definitely possible to email event attendees as a group with the email campaign tool! However, in order to get your attendees into a segment that you can select as your audience, you’ll need to indicate that they were an event attendee via another attribute, likely a badge or custom role.
Thank you @mbuuck1!
Great idea preparing it with the scheduling feature!

That’s what I thought. So you definitely need to know who attended and then need to be quick in assigning either the badge or the custom role. Since we already have quite a few custom roles and regular events would make it less lucid, I’d go for the badges I guess.
Super open to hear of more processes and approaches. As also with the badges they need to be designed, uploaded and manually assigned to the right people.
Best,
Lena
If you’re comfortable with an API, you can assign roles and badges in bulk (assuming, like you said, you know exactly who attended.)
