I wanted to see how other users manage KB guide images, since you cannot copy and paste them from a Google Doc without getting an error. Is there an integration you’re using?

Thank you ahead of time!

Its hard for me to test this without getting your error but I did get this a TON at a prior job on a different platform. Here is what I do to get around it in Word. Maybe you can do something similar in G docs.

Go to Save As

Change the doc type to HTM and save

You can open this in text to copy and paste into a KB.

Hopefully this helps you a smidge.

It’s a bit of a janky workaround, but when I have an image in a Google Doc that I need to save, I add it to Keep first. Then you open it in Keep, and you can download it from there.

@atwhite I didn’t know about Google Keep, this could be a workaround. I’m looking for something where images can be organized by folder and shared with other team members. This is a good idea for the time being! Thank you! 😀

@lstone Oh, that makes sense! Maybe once you’ve extracted the images from the documents and have them in a format that you can upload and download, you could use a shared Google Drive or something.

We use one of those for shared assets like hero and thumbnail images for landing pages or user groups, or other things that multiple team members need to access repeatedly.
