Metrics on Default Language Settings

Hi there! Wondering if Gainsight offers any metrics on the default language settings chosen by user accounts in the community or if anyone tracks this and how? We can see what IP address/country users are coming from, but don’t necessarily know what language they’ve chosen to view the community in.

    Hi ​@danielle.leroux! We are planning to make language a user property upon which you’d be able to tell which user prefers what language. For now, we use cookies to persist user’s last selection on next login. 

    Curious to understand your use case here. You mentioned knowing where users are coming from, what is the use case to know which language they are using?

    Also, some data about users switching to languages is available in data lake, are you using it yet or planning to?

      Hi ​@Sudhanshu ,

      We’re asking is to understand whether there’s a significant portion of our FME users who might have low English proficiency. While the FME Community only represents a subset of all FME users, it’s currently the best source we have to explore this question.

      I’m also not aware that we’re using the data lake at this point. I’d be curious to learn more about what kind of language-switching data is available there and how we might leverage it.
