New Gainsight CC Product Feedback dashboard questions

I have a few observations and questions about the Gainsight CC ‘New Dashboards’. I figured I would share with the community in case others are seeing similar things!

These items are specific to the Product Feedback dashboard. For context, I am filtering with the Activity Date between 5/1 and 5/31.

How is the percentage of ‘Total Votes Delivered’ measured?

Three additional questions about the Ideation Trends section-

  • Why might the Created By column display NULL for each row?
  • Is is possible to filter the rows by View, showing posts in order from most viewed to least? While showing posts in order of the number of votes is certainly helpful, sometimes views are a better indication to sort by.
  • Are the specific view counts listed here the number of views that occurred within the past month? They don’t match total view counts, so I assume so, but would like verification.

Thank you in advance for any guidance!

Hi @Ambar D

  • How is the percentage of ‘Total Votes Delivered’ measured?

As mentioned in this KB article

% Total Votes Delivered:

Measures the percentage of votes associated with delivered ideas up to the end of the selected time relative to all votes cast on ideas since the community's inception.
It is calculated by taking the total votes for ideas that have been delivered up to the end of the selected time, including votes from converted conversations and votes from merged ideas, and dividing it by the total votes cast on all ideas.

Calculation: cumulative delivered votes / (cumulative delivered votes + cumulative open votes.

  • Why might the Created By column display NULL for each row?

We can only link the person who created the idea to the company if we have valid data from the SFDC integration. Without this data, we cannot show the company that created the idea.

  • Is is possible to filter the rows by View, showing posts in order from most viewed to least? While showing posts in order of the number of votes is certainly helpful, sometimes views are a better indication to sort by.

Unfortunately, there's no way to change the sorting of this table at this time. We'll be working on improving it in the future.

  • Are the specific view counts listed here the number of views that occurred within the past month? They don’t match total view counts, so I assume so, but would like verification.

As mentioned in this KB article

Ideation Trend Table:

The table displays a list of ideas raised in the community, organized by the number of new votes, with the number of new replies or new views that occurred during the selected timeframe.

Ideas are linked to the company assigned to the author at the time of creation. Votes, replies, and views are also tied to the user's company at the time the activity happened. When you filter by a company, the table shows how many of these activities came from that company compared to the total.
