What SEO capabilities are available for community pages? Can we customize metadata such as title, description, canonical URL, etc.?

I’d recommend checking out our SEO knowledge base category for more information on SEO capabilities. You might also find this article helpful: 
 


You can customize the title and description of your community on the front end under Style → Branding. If you also want to customize the meta description of your categories, then you can do this within the category settings page itself. (Control → Platform → Community → Pick a category).
