Question

Can we configure Rich Text Fields to auto save while editing?

Our CSM’s are providing feedback that while updating meeting notes (for example in an Event Type CTA), the information is not auto saving, which sometimes leads to data loss.

This happens for example when editing multiple fields on the CTA, and clicking save on one field. All changes made to another field (could be rich text or text) are lost.

Additionally there is no option for Command Z, to undo.

Hi @ibrahimijaz great idea, although for meeting notes I’d recommend using timeline entries (meeting) which do auto-save.

I've been burned by this more times than I'd like to admit, so I've resorted to drafting notes in a notepad before pasting them into Gainsight fields. We're hearing the same feedback from our CSMs: right now, they have to update some Company fields, and the missing auto-save capability is a major friction point.

I wonder if there has been any movement on this one. We had a few CSMs recently note that when filling out the comments section of a CTA, they would click elsewhere and find that their in progress CTA notes disappeared. Auto-save would be a tremendous time saver and would help prevent accidental clicks from deleting drafted notes.

Totally agreed -  It would be great to explore either autosave functionality or a prompt warning users of unsaved changes when navigating away. .
