Exporting Reports to Excel: Date Formatting

When exporting a report that has dates in it to Excel, Excel doesn't recognize that they are dates, and you have to manually change them to dates each time in order to do more analysis. Could this be corrected?

    Hey Heather, Thanks for this request. I will look into a way if we can assign a datatype to a column in Excel while exporting. I will reply once the team investigates and affirms it can be done, and will then add to the roadmap.

    I echo this request! When all else fails (including DATEVALUE), I use the text to columns shortcut. 

    Select the column of dates, then Data > Text to columns > Fixed > finish
