Future Plan for Timeline Activity Attachments from Gainsight to Salesforce

After discussions with our Salesforce team, it is our understanding that Attachments are not supported in Salesforce Lightning and that the recommendation is to use Files.

Are there any future plans to move the Gainsight Timeline Activity attachments to Files instead of syncing to Attachments?
