Handling default picklist values in rules

It would be a huge help to have rules engine try and auto map picklist values when mapping from one to another in the action. My use case is mapping a standard country field from the account, to a new field in a custom object. The values are the exact same but it defaults to the first one alphabetically. With 200 or so countries, and having to do this for three different actions, its going to take a long time!
